      Position Summary
      Temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant position available in the Psychology department - Stockton Campus.
      Start Date
      Position available on or after June 3, 2024 and ending on or before August 29, 2024. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

      Job Description/Duties

      Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist with ongoing research and supervise undergraduate student assistants and students in research apprentice positions.
      • Assist with data entry, analysis of assessment results, conducting literature reviews of scholarly research, and giving informal/formal presentations of the research.
      • Assist staff, as needed, with ongoing services including designing bulletin boards, creating research materials, revising program materials, organizing equipment, and/or observing classes.

      Other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Graduate studies in Psychology, Sociology, Education or related field and is pursuing a career in human services.
      • Experience with supervision and management.
      • Experience with quantitative or qualitative research in a classroom or field setting.
      • Ability to use programs like Zoom, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Qualtrics.
      • Demonstrates respect and compassion for CalWORKs participants, collaborators, and colleagues.
      • Is dependable and follows through on assignments. Requests and is receptive to feedback.
      • Works well in groups.
      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

      Salary Range

      $18.50 - 20.00 per hour. Salary will depend on the qualifications of the successful finalist(s).
